Be a reading family

Being a person who loves to read it is sometimes hard to understand that there are people that don’t like to read. I started to “poke” around on the internet to find ideas and suggestions for parents who would like to encourage their kids to read. Along the way I stumbled on the “Build a Reading Family” website. The article might be a bit long, but will be time well spend.

Remember to keep the fun in reading. It should not be used as a punishment but rather as a reward. Try and be an example to your kids when it comes to reading. Sit down and a read a book to yourself, talk about what you are reading and ask them about the books they are reading.
